Qualifications & Expectations
Applicants must meet the following criteria:
• Be a committed follower of Jesus Christ and actively involved in a local church.
• Fully agree with Northside Christian Academy’s Statement of Faith.
• Conduct their lives in accordance with biblical, moral, and ethical standards.
As an educational ministry of Northside Baptist Church, NCA carefully considers an applicant’s doctrinal beliefs and personal profession of faith as part of the selection process. While we do not discriminate based on race, sex, national or ethnic origin, color, age, or disability, all staff members are expected to uphold the biblical values upon which our school is founded.
Faculty Requirements
Applicants for teaching positions must:
• Demonstrate expertise in their subject area and the ability to teach from a Christian worldview.
• Hold a bachelor’s degree in education or their subject area.
• Possession (or in process) of state certification or organizational licensure (e.g., International League of Christian Schools (ILCS), Association of Christian Schools International (ACSI), or another ILCS-recognized organization).
Hiring Process & Employment Policies
• Background Checks & Screening:
• Candidates under consideration must complete a Level II criminal background check.
• A pre-employment alcohol/drug screening is required before final hire and the first day of employment.
• Workplace Standards:
• Northside Christian Academy maintains a smoke/vape-free, alcohol-free, and drug-free workplace.
