Athletics at NCA

At Northside Christian Academy, athletics is more than competition—it is an opportunity to develop discipline, teamwork, and Christlike character. As a proud member of the Southeastern Christian Conference, NCA has built a tradition of excellence, with our teams earning numerous awards and championships over the years.

Our athletes, competing in sports such as volleyball, basketball, cross-country, and our newest addition, archery, have been recognized not only for their athletic skill but also for their sportsmanship and integrity. Among the many honors, one of the most highly regarded is the Christian Character Award, which reflects our belief that sports should be a platform for glorifying Christ in both word and action.

Athletic Expectations & Requirements

To participate in NCA athletics, students must:

Pay the required Sports Fee and purchase a Spirit Package for each sport played.

Maintain a minimum 2.0 GPA in all classes.

Fully commit to practices and games.

Consistently demonstrate Christian character on and off the field.

At NCA, we seek to develop champion athletes with a Christ-centered mindset, equipping them to compete with excellence, discipline, and unwavering faith—both in sports and in life.

Sports Fee/Spirit Package

The Spirit Package varies by sport, but the Sports Fee is $100 for each sport the athlete plays. These fees cover things like:

· Some uniforms

· Equipment (balls, bases, arrows, etc.),

· Officials/Officiating Teams

· Travel (vehicle, insurance, gas)

· Sports banquet including awards and trophies.

· Incidentals like electricity for lights and air conditioning

· Other miscellaneous expenses

Yahweh is the everlasting God, the Creator of the whole earth. He never grows faint or weary; there is no limit to His understanding. He gives strength to the weary and strengthens the powerless. Youths may faint and grow weary, and young men stumble and fall, but those who trust in the Lord will renew their strength; they will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary; they will walk and not faint.

– Isaiah 40:28-31
