Why Northside?
A Christ-Centered Education Rooted in Biblical Truth
One of the primary reasons parents choose a private Christian education is the desire for an academic experience grounded in strong moral values. At Northside Christian Academy, we are committed to providing a biblically integrated education that shapes both the mind and the heart.
We utilize the biblically-based Bob Jones University Press curriculum, which incorporates scripture memory, biblical principles, and a Christ-centered perspective across all subjects. Our mission is to equip students with academic excellence and spiritual discernment, enabling them to recognize and pursue God’s calling in their lives.
At NCA, students cultivate moral character, accountability, and wisdom, all while developing a deep understanding of biblical truth. Our Christian standards of personal conduct, school policies, and curriculum are designed to instill a strong sense of responsibility and integrity, preparing students to lead with faith and purpose in every aspect of life.
Frequently Asked Questions…
Northside Christian Academy welcomes students of all backgrounds; however, a commitment to our Christian values is an essential part of our educational environment. While being a Christian is not a requirement for enrollment, all students are expected to adhere to the biblical principles and moral standards upheld by NCA.
Students are required to respect and uphold the Christian doctrine, values, and behavioral expectations set forth by the academy. Conduct—both in and out of school—that contradicts these standards will not be tolerated and may result in disciplinary action.
At NCA, students are continually presented with the truth of the Gospel through daily instruction, chapel services, and discipleship opportunities. While faith is a personal decision, we encourage every student to explore and embrace a relationship with Christ as they grow academically and spiritually.
While NCA students are not required to wear a standard uniform, they must adhere to the academy’s dress code. Additionally, on Wednesdays, students are required to wear “chapel attire,” which includes a collared shirt with the NCA logo. This policy promotes a sense of unity, professionalism, and school pride. For full details on dress code requirements, see our Parent-Student Handbook.
Yes, Northside Christian Academy is fully accredited by Cognia and the Florida League of Christian Schools (FLOCS), a member of the International League of Christian Schools (ILCS). Additionally, NCA holds regional accreditation through the North Central Association Commission on Accreditation and School Improvement (NCA CASI), the Northwest Accreditation Commission (NWAC), and the Southern Association of Colleges and Schools Council on Accreditation and School Improvement (SACS CASI).
These accrediting bodies are highly respected and recognized by the Florida Department of Education, the U.S. Department of Education, and academic institutions worldwide, ensuring that our students receive a rigorous, high-quality education that meets national and international standards.
Parent Involvement & Volunteer Opportunities
Northside Christian Academy values strong partnerships between parents and educators, and our Parent-Teacher Organization (PTO) plays a vital role in fostering that connection. We encourage all parents to get involved and take advantage of the many opportunities to support the school, provide feedback, and contribute to its continuous improvement.
Parents can participate in various ways, including:
• Joining the PTO to help organize events, share insights, and enhance the school experience.
• Volunteering in the classroom to support teachers and students.
• Becoming an Athletic Booster, assisting with fundraisers, concession sales, and school athletic programs.
